Christmas Tree Corner Shelf

While this concept is certainly not my own, I did take the time to make the design my own. The biggest flaw I saw in all of these shelf systems was that they took up a lot of space when not in use or would require someone assembling and disassembling every year. For each shelf location I incorporated grooves that allowed one half of a cleat system to slide into. The shelves have the opposing cleat section that mates with the other half. A wheel knob could then be tightened to secure the shelf onto the frame. This design requires no tools to assemble and disassemble the entire stand and in a quick manner. The back corner of each shelf has a half circle cut out to allow for any power cables to be routed to each shelf to supply power to any decoration that requires it.

The tree shaped stand utilizes a large continuous hinge that allows it to fold flat when not in use and easily open up when in use. At the base of the stand on each half of the stand are circles that are cut out to route an extension cord to supply the power feed for the entire shelf system.

The entire shelf system is made from birch plywood which makes it perfect for painting or leaving as is due to it’s clean appearance.
