Engagement Ring Box

This elegant box was made to house an engagement ring. The wood used is Amazon Rosewood which has a beautiful dark grain heartwood and sharp contrast of white sapwood. This contrast spoke to me so the top and bottom were cut from the same section of the board and book-matched to give a pleasing mirror effect between the top and bottom of the box. The lid opens using two barrel hinges.
