Mommy Memory Box

This beautiful box was made from walnut for the body of the box and zebrawood for the lid. All the sides were cut from the same board and orientated in a manner such that the grain would continuously flow from one side to the next. The box was assembled with hand cut dovetails and a floating panel for the bottom. The bottom has the coordinates engraved into it of the location of the birth of the child for which the memories shall be stored for. The hinge system utilizes wooden pins providing a seamless look for when the box is open and closed. The lid also has incorporated into it the handle providing a clean appearance overall.
